Insert File

You can add .PDF or .DOC files for viewing in the Resource Center. You can add audio files (with a Player) so that the user can listen to them in the Resource Center.

You are allowed to store multiple files for the Resource Center, but cannot store more than 200 MB total.  If you want to upload another file, but are over this limit, you must delete one of the existing files.

To upload a file:

1.  Enter the path to the file you wish to upload in the Upload New File text box, or click the Browse button and select the file in the file manager.

2.  Click the Upload button. The system will attempt to upload the file, and if it is in the right format and under the size restriction, the file will be added to your directory.

To insert an existing file:

1.  Select the file that you wish to use from the Use Existing File drop-down list.

2.  Enter the link text that you want to display for the file on the Resource Center page in the Display Text text box.

3.  If you are inserting an audio file, check the Insert As Player checkbox.

4.  Click the Insert button.

5.  The Insert File screen will close, and the file's display text link will be inserted into the HTML Editor at the location of the cursor when the Insert File button was clicked.

To delete an image from the system:

1.  Select the image you wish to delete from the Use Existing File drop-down list.

2.  Click the Delete button.

3.  The file will be deleted from the directory and no longer appear in the drop-down list.

NOTE: Do not delete files that are being used in the Resource Center. The file must be available in your directory to appear on the Resource Center.

Click the Close button to close the screen without inserting a file.
